Notes for Emily MILLS
In the 1841 census High Street Civil Parish of Heston, Isleworth hundred, Middlesex, England Brentford registration district Isleworth sub registration district.
John Mills age 35, occupation Post Boy,
Mary Ann Mills age 35,
Emily Mills age 13,
George Mills age 11,
Elizabeth Mills age 6, and
Barbara Mills age 2.
Elizabeth and Barbara are born in Middlesex, the others are not.

While it is not certain Emily married Samuel Legg, the evidence seems to point in that direction.
1. Emily’s parents were married in Henley on Thames Parish
2. The 1841 census says Emily was not born in Middlesex where most of her younger siblings were born.
3. The Parish records for the marriage in 1846 gives her fathers name as John Mills and his profession as publican. This is a match for her fathers name and his occupation in the 1851 census.
4. The 1851 census entry below gives Emily Legg’s age as 24, a match to the 1841 census. It gives her birth location as Henley on Thames which matches her parents marriage parish about a year before she was born.
