In the name of God Amen, I, ROBERT DEAKIN, of FAIRE OAKE in the parish of ECCLESHALL in the county of STAFFORD, yeoman, being sick and weak but of perfect memory praysed be God and being mindfull of my Latter end doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following:

Imprimis after my debts and ffunerell charges are paid by my executors hereafter named I doe give and bequeath unto my Brother MATHEW DEAKIN five pounds. Then I give unto my Brother JOHN DEAKIN five pounds. Then I doe give unto my brother in law THOMAS HICHCOCKS the sume of five pounds. Then I give unto my sister SARAH HICHCOCKS a hundred pounds.

Then I doe give unto my brother Mathew Deakin’s daughter ALICE DEAKIN a hundred pounds. Then I doe give unto my brother Mathew Deakin’s eldest son MATHEW DEAKIN hundred pounds. Then I doe give unto THOMAS DEAKIN second son of my brother Mathew Deakin eighty pounds. Then I doe give unto ROBERT DEAKIN third son of my brother Mathew Deakin forty pounds. Then I doe bequeath and give unto my brother John Deakin’s youngest son THOMAS DEAKIN sixty pounds. Then I doe give and bequeath unto JOHN DAVIS who was lately my servant and set out to me as an apprentice by the parish of Eccleshall five pounds. Then I doe give and bequeath unto my deare and loving wife ELEN DEAKIN the sume of eighty pounds and likewise the kitching chamber and the bord (i.e. the table) and all that doth long to itt, and also the rest of the furniture of the aforesaid kitching Chamber and the use of the kitching fire for her life if she pleaseth. Then I doe give and bequeath unto my Godson ROBERT DEAKIN second son of my brother John Deakin the Lease of my living at Faireoake, duereing the remainder of the time it is to come and unexpired and all my stock of cattle which I shall die possessed of upon the premises with the Corne upon the ground also in Barnes and in stacks if any, with all the goods in the house (except before excepted) and all merterialls for husbandry upon this condition that he the said Robert Deakin my Godson shall pay and defray all my debts and funerall charges and pay unto my deare and loving wife ELEN DEAKING the sume of fourteen pounds a yeare and every yeare dureing her life by even and equall perportions the first payment being the sume of three pounds ten shillings att or upon the 24th day of June, the second payment being the sume of three pounds ten shillings upon the 29th day of September the third payment to be on the 25 day of December and the fourth to be on the 25th day of March or att or upon the first quarter day which shall first happen after my death but for want of the said Robert Deakin paying my said wife Elen Deakin her yearly sume as afore expressed and letting her quietly enjoy the aforesaid kitching chamber and the use of the fire in the kitching and the goods aforesaid, for her to dispose of them of which the said Elen Deakin shall become entitled to one half of the lease at Faireoake as I have before bequeathed unto my Godson Robert Deakin and all the stock of cattle one (i.e. on) the premises with corne on the ground corne in the barnes and in stacks if any as I shall leave at my death to have all apraised by two honest men or more with all the merterialls of husbandry all to be vallued and the valuatoin thereof to be given to my executors hereafter named and the said Robert Deakin my Godson to pay one half of the value to my deare wife and lett her quietly enjoy halfe of the living and goods as aforesaid, but if he doth performe his part in paying as aforesaid then my will is that he shall quietly enjoy his own use as aforesaid all I have before given him. And I doe hereby nominate and appoint JOHN GRANMER of Eccleshall in the county of Stafford Gentleman and THOMAS HICHCOCKS of the parish of BUNBURY in the county of CHESTER yeoman, my sole executors of this my Last will and Testament desiring them to gett in all by debts upon bond bill or note and when received to dispose of it as before given they being allowed all Reasonable charges for theire paines and to see this my Last will and Testament performed being allowed them all charges that theire may happen upon getting. in the getting or defrayeing all Law charges if any shall be or what other expenses and charges unforeseene and this to be allowed out of by bequeaths given to my wife nephews and neeses as is before named the proportions of the charge to be paid by each as their bequeath are in sume and I doe gereby declare this to be Last Will and Testament Revokeing all former will or Wills by me formerly made. Witness my hand and seals this twentyfirst Day of Aprell 1719.
