John Homer of Ettingshall, who married Martha Cox. On account of the encroachment of the collieries which made the place no longer desirable for a gentleman’s residence he sold the greater part of the Ettingshall estate and went to reside at another family property, Bromley Hall, in the same county, where he died in 1785 and was succeeded by his son Richard Homer.
