In the Name and Feare of God begging pardon for my sins and relying wholly on the morty [mercy?] of my creator and also the merifts{?] of his son Jesus Christ the Saviour of the World I John Hodgetts of Ashwood Bridge in the parish of Kinver in the county of Stafford Gent make my Last Will and Testement as followeth first I reelase unto my Kinsmen Henry Greswold of Solyhull Esq. and Marshall Greswold of the same clerke all such summs and summos of mony ??? debts and demand which might otherwise ???? of them or ???? of them provided they give my executrixes herin after named the like generall releases . . .
