2nd Baron Talbot and Knight Banneret, parliament 1331-1335; possessed immense estates.
In 1322 fought on the side of Thomas Earl of Lancaster against King Edward II at the Battle of Boroughbridge and was captured.
In 1332 fought on the side of Edward Balilol, son of King John I of Scotland against supporters of King David II of Scotland, at the Battle of Dupplin Moor. Despite being heavily outnumbered, Balliol’s side prevailed.
Fought for King Edward III in the Hundred year’s war. A captain at the Battle of Morlaix in 1342.
Fought at the Battle of Crecy in 1346 as well as the Seige of Calais.
