Homer - Anna Vera (Lomas) passed away March 3, 2000 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her sister, Connie and brother, Norman. Anna leaves her devoted nieces, Diane Tant and Glenda Griffin, brother-in-law, Jack Homer and nephews, John and David Homer. The twinkle in her eyes and wonderful smile will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She was born and raised in Duncan by pioneer families of Lomas and Prevost and was the great-granddaughter of Admiral James Charles Prevost who served in B.C. waters in the 1850’s and was involved in the settlment of the water boundary between B.C. and the United States, Anna and Fred spent many years on the West Coast in the commercial fishing industry, retiring to Sooke. etc.
