McCAUSLAND, ARTHUR JOHN KENNEDY, 2nd Lieut., 6th (Service ) Battalion. The Border Regiment, only s. of the late Chester Stanley McCausland, by his wife, Patience (30, Church Road, Richmond), daughter of Thomas Keelinge Homer, of Sedgley, co. Staffs; b. Kew, co. Surrey, 9 Sept. 1892; educated privately, and King’s College, Strand, London, W.C.; was a Clerk in the Union of South Africa Office in Victoria Street, S.W.; enlisted in the Northamptonshire Regiment. In Sept. 1914, after the outbreak of war; was gazetted 2nd Lieut. Border Regiment. 17 Dec. following; served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force at Gallipoli from July, and was killed in action at Suvla Bay 9 Aug. 1915, while leading his platoon in the advance after the taking of Chocolate Hill. Buried near there; unmarried.
