SAMPSON, Helen As she was fond of saying, "I'm retired." Helen Sampson went to be with her Lord and Savior October 11, 2006 her final retirement place. Helen was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Bladen and Marjorie Capell August 14, 1926. A person of deep Christian faith, Helen believed she was of the spirit and not of the body. Her love of God and family were her truest values. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Leonard Sampson, (Spokane); her loving and devoted" oldest son, David Sampson, wife Trina (Spokane); her "precious" daughter Barbara Mims, husband Robert (Salt Lake City Utah); and her "baby," Danny Sampson, wife Susan (Spokane). Helen also leaves behind many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She also had many long-time friends who were always a constant support in her life as she in theirs. Helens suffering is now over and shes resting in peace. Mom, we love you and already miss you more than we ever thought possible. Special thanks to Dale the ICU registered nurse at Holy Family who showed how caring he was and gave Mom her dignity and respect; we appreciate all you did for her and us. A Memorial Service will be held Monday October 16th at 1:00 PM at Open Bible Church 905 N. McDonald Road. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the church afterward. The Neptune Society, Spokane, WA, is entrusted with cremation.
