End of this bible entry page.
[The last entry must be Alice Ogden as the age is a match.]

That this Thomas Ogden is the father (and Alice the mother) of Thomas Ogden, grandfather of Jarvis Marshall Ogden and great grandfather of another Jarvis Marshall Ogden is only a possibility. This is now confirmed by the entry in a family bible.

It is based on the following

1) The IGI lists a christening on Dec. 25 1827 Cathedral. Manchester. This time would match the year and location for Thomas the father of Jarvis Marshall Ogden. This alone is very iffy as there are many Thomas Ogden’s in Manchester, in fact there is another Thomas Ogden christened only 2 days before in the same cathedral.
2) The IGI lists this Thomas and Alice as being the parents of a Jarvis Marshall Ogden. This name is very unusual and thus it seems quite probable that the Jarvis Marshall Ogden is the Uncle and great uncle of the other 2 Jarvis Marshall Ogdens.

Assuming the above to be correct it is probable that Alice is Alice Marshall. While again there are many Thomas Ogdens there is only one married in the correct time frame and place who married an Alice. The IGI lists Thomas Ogden married Alice Marshall (which is a match to her son Jarvis Marshall) on Feb 8 1824 Cathedral, Manchester

Parish records Manchester Cathedral

Wray [The last name Wray matches the last name of the person who baptised their son Thomas] Chaplain in the presence of Robt. Milton, Tho. Aukinson? and Jane Arthur.
