William Howkins of the Parish of Saint George Botolph Lane London and Ann Hearsey of the Parish of Saint Luke’s Norwood in the County of Surrey were married in this Church by License on the 8th day of June 1830 by me Arthur Gibson Curate in the presence of ??/, Wm. Howkins senior [William’s father], Marion Gibson [Anne’s sister] and Anne Howkins. [I wonder how Anne Howkins fits into the family tree?]
[The same Curate Arthur Gibson married both William Howkins and Theophilus Howkins in the same church.]
[Talk about keeping it in the Family. Ann’s first husband was a half first cousin to William and the next year William’s brother Theophilus married Annes sister Marion.]
