I believe, but am unable to prove that Richard Homer was a farmer in Wellington, Hereford
That Richard Homer was living in Wellington in 1891, 1901 and 1991
It was recorded he was born in Sedgley, Gloucestershire , Sedgley Staffordshire and Dudley Staffordshire
He married in about 1881 to Mary or Emma M.or Mary Rose , last name not known and location not known. She was born in Cannington, Bristol, or Bridgewater, Somerset in about 1863
The had children
Richard Charles Homer born about 1883 in Cheltenham
Elizabeth Jane Homer born about 1886 in Evesham, Worcestershire [who married George Hackley in 1906]
Reginald Homer born about 1890 in Wellington
Arthur Homer born about 1891 in Wellington [died in 1917 in France]
Kate Patience Homer born about 1893 in Wellington [married Ernest E. Bethell in 1921]
Julia Homer born about 1895 in Wellington
Thomas Keelinge Homer born in 1902 in Wellington
plus another child who died before being recorded in the census
The reason I believe this Richard Homer matches the one in our family tree is
1) Richard Homer was baptized in Sedgley which is near Dudley
2) the names of his children match members of his family
Thomas Keelinge Homer was his father, Thomas Keelinge Homer is the son.
He had a sister Julia, a sister Patience, a brother Charles, and a sister Charlotte Elizabeth
If I could find the Parish marriage records for Richard which would indicate his fathers name then I could prove or disprove my theory
