From a descendant:
I would like you to know that Ethel Marcella Symondson (b. 1897), daughter of Frederick James Symondson (b. 1856) was my Great Grandmother.  She DID marry Frank H Powell in 1919 who was in the Royal Navy.  He was also a musician who played the violin.  My Great Grandmother Ethel Marcella was a musician, she was a piano teacher.  Ethel and Frank had 4 sons. One of those sons Dennis Frederick William Powell (b.1930 died on 21 Dec. 1961 fatal motorbike crash - my Grandfather.  After the birth of their 4 sons Ethel and Frank moved to Margate, Kent, England to Westgate High Street.  I remember their house was rendered with plaster that was covered in beach pebbles.  I remember my Great Grandmother clearly as she did not die until November 1990 when I was 15. I attended her funeral, she died in Margate, Kent.  I enjoyed many days on Margate beach when my Grandmother (Dennis Powell's widow) took me too visit. I remember Ethel playing the piano to us.  My mother was only 4 years old when her father Dennis died a few days before Christmas.
