The Late Mrs. Emma Caroline Grant
The funeral of the late Mrs.
Emma Caroline Grant, wife of Mr.
Harry William Grant of Queen’s Park and Gosnells, took place on Wednesday the 14th instant, and was largely attended. The deceased, who was 52 years of age, was born in London, England and had been a resident of this state for the last 14 years. The funeral cortege moved from Messrs. Arthur E. Davies and Co’s private mortuary, Claremont and proceeded to the Karrakatta Cemetery, where the remains were laid to rest in the Anglican portion. The Rev. H. E. King officiated at the graveside. The chief mourners were: Mr. H. W. Grant (husband), Mr. James Harrison (brother), Messrs. Roy McAtee and Ronald Harrison (nephews), Mrs. R. McAtee (niece). The pall-bearers were: Messrs. W. C. Richards, A. Cornish, C. Stewart, A. E. Clements, and A. M. Noble and W. G. Hall (representing the Mount Lyell Chemical Works). Wreaths were placed on the grave by the Queen’s Park Memorial Hall Association, the Harmony Lodge No. 8, W.A.C., employees Mount Lyell Chemical Works, relatives, and many friends. . . .
