Emma Elizabeth, attended an institution for the daughters of deceased Soldiers and Sailors in Wandsworth London. At the institution the girls were trained up for Domestic Service and Emma Elizabeth went on to work briefly in Eaton Square before helping to run her Stepfathers Dance School in Fulham.
Her sister went to work at Buckingham Palace where she met and married a guardsman.
