MR. EDMUND W. JONES Former Chairman of Gelligaer Council. The death has occurred at 10, Crossstreet, Bargoed, of Mr. Edmund W. Jones, aged 58. He was the licensee of the Plasnewydd Hotel, Bargoed, for several years and until about a year ago. Formerly he was a checkweigher at the Bargoed Collieries for more than twenty years, and for similar period was treasurer of the Rhymney Valley district of the South Wales Miners' Federation. He served on the Gelligaer Urban District Mr. E. W. Jones. Council, of which he was a former chairman, the Rhymney Valley Water and Drainage Boards, and other authorities.
