Robert became one of a select band of speed skaters to win all 3 x British titles in the same season (1926).  However, he remains the ONLY speed skater to win all titles in the same year on different rinks (Half Mile at Forest Gate, One Mile at Kingston and Five Mile at his home rink, Cricklewood).
