{Note: In the 1939 England and Wales census Samuel Bagnall, born February 8, 1898 is living next door to Levi. Samuel’s wife is Victoria May Bagnall. A Samuel Bagnall who lists his father as Levi Bagnall married a Victoria May Brown. According to his baptismal records James Scotson was born February 10 1898 and baptized March 10 1898. I suggest James Scotson listed as adopted in the 1901 census took the name Samuel Bagnall sometime after 1911.]
