John and Mary Hodgetts – I cannot prove it but I am fairly certain that the parents of John Hodgetts, our great x 10 grandfather, were (yet another) John and Mary. The parish records of Kingswinford reveal the burial of a Mary Hodgetts, ‘wife of John Hodgetts senior’, on 23.9.1607 and the burial of John Hodgetts, ‘yeoman’, on 14.7.1630.
