As of March 2024 I have a list (which of course is incomplete) of about 750 descendants of Alexander Gibson, but mostly descendants of his Great Grandson Robert Gibson.
This list includes persons born in Scotland, England, British India (now India), British India (now Myanmar), Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Iran, Guyana, and Barbados. It would be correct to say he has descendants born on every continent except Antartica!
And as well some who resided in France, Singapore, and Somaliland (now Somalia).
