Marriage December 7 1826 Benjamin Curtis, widower of this parish and
Elizabeth Vickers, spinster of this parish
after banns by Thomas Clayton, Rector
in the presence of Edward Browett and Hannah Browett

Marriage December 7, 1826 Cottingham, Northampton, England Benjamin Curtis and Elizabeth Vickers. [Since this matches names, location and their first child was born 1 year later it is very probable.]

[There is another match a marriage February 19, 1821 in Cottingham Benjamin Curtis and Elizabeth Cooke. This is unlikely as this Elizabeth would be only 14 at the time and no children are born until 6 years later. It is possible Benjamin remarried, especially when one considered the 10 year age difference between Benjamin and this Elizabeth.][In the 1841 census there were 2 Cooke families listed immediately after the Curtis family and 2 Vickers Families listed on the next 2 pages, all living on King Street.]
