KINNEAR, Dorothy (nee Hayes). Passed on, surrounded by her family, Monday, December 8, 2003, after a courageous battle at the Montreal General Hospital. Lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Derek, children Jim (Kathy), Geoffrey (Nancy), and Jennifer (Marc). Very proud grandmother of Justin, Erika, Jonathan, Gillian, Jordan and Elizabeth. Many thanks to the hospital staff on the 15th and 18th west floors. Visitation at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive in Dorval on Friday, December 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Cedar's Cancer Institute, 687 Pine Avenue West, Room E3.15, Montreal H3A 1A1.

Kinnear-Hayes In Kydd Memorial Presbyterian Church, the marriage took place on Saturday afternoon at four o'clock of Dorothy (Dody), daughter of Mrs. Jean C. J. Hayes, to Mr. Derek C. Kinnear, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Kinnear, the Rev. Alastair MacOdrum officiating. Mr. Joseph T. Barratt, M.B.E., played the wedding music, and Mr. C. A. Tomkins sang during the signing of the register. Baskets of rose de lima and white gladioli were used as decorations. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Howard W. Bydwell, was gowned in nylon tulle and Chantilly lace, the bodice having a lace bolero with a Queen Anne collar and sleeves ending in points over her hands, and the tulle skirt appliqued with lace medallions frosted with sequins. Her fingertip-length veil of tulle illusion was held by a scalloped headdress of matching lace, and she carried a cascade bouquet of Briarcliffe roses and tephanotis. Mrs. Howard W. Bydwell, as matron of honor for her sister, was in a frock of blue tulle over taffeta. She wore a matching headdress," and carried a cascade bouquet of deep pink and white feathered carnations. Mr. Garth Kinnear acted as best man for his brother, and the ushers were Mr. Douglass Easson and Mr. Qerek Whit-taker. Mrs. Hayes, the bride's mother, was gowned in turquoise French lace and crepe, and wore a black hat and accessories, and a corsage bouquet of Pinnochio roses. Following the reception, Mr. and Mrs. Kinnear left for Banff, Emerald Lake. Victoria and Seattle, the bride travelling in a light blue suit, and wearing a navy blue velvet hat, and a - corsage bouquet of pink Sweetheart roses.

Derek Kinnear September 12, 1927 - May 15, 2015 Derek Kinnear died peacefully on May 15, 2015 in his 88th year. A long time resident of the West Island, he was predeceased by his wife of 48 years Dorothy (nee Hayes) in 2003. Fondly remembered as a dedicated Dad by Jim (Kathy), Geoffrey (Nancy) and Jennifer (Marc) and a grateful Grandpa by Justin, Erika, Jonathan, Gillian, Jordan and Elizabeth. Visitation at J.J.Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval on Saturday May 23 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
