Worked to expand the control and influence of Savoy. Was successful in getting many of his sons into important church office, 2 bishops, 2 archbishops, including St. Boniface, archbishop of Canterbury. Managed to marry his daughter Beatrice to Ramon Berenguer IV of Provence. Fought many battles to extend his control.
Notes for Margaret Of Geneva (Spouse 1)
Was supposed to marry Philip II of France but was abducted by Thomas in 1195, while in her way to Paris. They had eight sons and six daughters.
