Byzantine unsuccessful military leader foe Emperor Manuel.
After being accused of missusing army funds and the Emperor not allowing him to divorce his wife he switched sides to Andronikos Komnenos. When Andronikos Komnenos became emperor the nobles who supported him were not restored. They revolted, Adronikos Angelos and his sons escaped to Damascus and Bagdad. He was supported by Saladin and settled at Acre.
