A keen military strategist that saw him better most of his opponents.
One of the first great builders of castles, as he built about 100 of them.
He made 4 pilgrimages to Jerusalem.
He died on his way home from pilgrimage and was buried at an abbey he founded in central France.

Elisabeth’s death was recounted in the Chronicles of Saint-Florent: Elisabeth occupied the citadel at Anger with some supporters and while under siege from Fulk, she suffered a fall from a great height, and then was burnt at the stake for adultery.
