One of the commanders of the centre of the army of Emperor Otto IV in the battle Bouvines in 1214, but were defeated by King Philip II of France.
Joined the Fifth Crusade to Egypt 1217 to 1218.

Appointed by Emperor Frederick II to bring his fiance from England. Henry fell ill and died on the way back.
