In April 1226 Llywelyn obtained a papal degree from Pope Honorius II declaring her legitimate on the basis her parents were not married to others at the time of her birth, but did not give her a claim to the throne.
At Easter 1230 William de Braose, who was Llewelyn’s prisoner at the time, was discovered in her bedchamber. He was executed. She was placed under house arrest for 1 year.
Llewelyn’s great grief at her death is recorded.
