Spent his youth in the court of Charlemagne. In 793 defeated Hisham I of Cordoba who proclaimed a holy war against the Christians in the north. He met the Muslim forces again at river Orbieu was defeated, but the Muslims were so exhausted they retreated to Spain.
In 806 he retired as monk to Gellone a monastery he founded 2 years earlier.

She was the widow of the Moorish Wali of Orange taken by William in his battles against the Umayyad army of Hisham I of Cordoba around the county of Narbona 793 to 796. She was one of two living wives of William when he died. She was possibly his concubine.
