Jesse Josiah Jupp arrived at the Port Of Melbourne on the 13th day of May 1871 on board the British Steam Ship, Geelong.
The passenger list marked him as a married man!!
Jesse's first Australian marriage on 31st August 1878 in Hampshire Hill's Tasmania to Sarah Deacon aged 21yrs, Jesse a Miner, Sarah a Farmer's Daughter.  Jesse a Bachelor, Sarah a Spinster.
Their first child born was Sarah Valera (called Vallie) on 3rd August 1879 in Emu Bay, Tasmania.  The next child, Henry Edgar born 1st August 1881 Emu Bay.  Sarah died of compilcations on the 7th August 1881.  Henry died 17th March 1882 aged 7 months.
Emma Louisa Robotham became the nanny/housekeeper for Jesse Jupp.
Jesse Married Emma on the 1st March 1885 at the Primitive Methodist Parsonage in the District of Ulverstone.  Emma 21yrs, Jesse a Storeman. 
Emma was 2 months pregnant and 19 yrs old!
