It seems he was drafted, reported and passed the medical exam and then he either
1) started training then was sent home some time after the war ended or
2) was sent home to await training but was not called
He was directed to report to Moose Jaw by February 5 1919 for the purpose of discharge.
He did receive his last pay check at that time which included 12 days of home leave.
