VICTORIA COLLEGE
CLASSES IN ACCOUNTANCY AND COMMERCIAL LAW For some time past there has been considerable agitation on the part of commercial students at Victoria University College, Wellington, to persuade the University Council to establish classes in accountancy and commercial law, so that students intending to study for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, might be able to take the full course within the university. Arrangements have now been made to include in the college syllabus lectures in accountancy and commercial law, commencing with the first term of 1934. Mr H. Russell Fountain, B Com., A.R.A., N.Z., of Christchurch, has been appointed to the position of lecturer in accountancy, while the appointment of the lecturer in commercial law has not yet been finally decided. Mr Fountain is on old boy of the Christchurch Boys' High School, and studied for his professional examinations in accountancy and for the degree of Bachelor of Commerce, at Canterbury College.
