Mel James Phillips passed away at Shuswap General Hospital in Salmon Arm with his family at his side on Sunday April 25,1999. Mel had a great love for fishing,hunting and camping, He had a couple of goals to accomplish and succeeded by seeing his first grandchild and went ocean fishing with Hank. Mel will be dearly missed by his sons Roy(Amber), new granddaughter Jayme, Shawn of Salmon Arm, Andrew of Vancouver and Stephen of Edmonton;brothers Don(Chris) of Prince George, and Willie(Tracy) of Malakwa, sister Jacqueline(Kieth) of Mara, Parents Archie and Ruby of Malakwa, He is also survived by nieces,Connie(Jason)Destanne, Krisi,Julene, Tessa, Celina and nephew Michael,and great niece Mikayla.
