Surrey Advertiser November 2 1940
Colonel Reginald Tilson Lee, who died at his home, Cedar Tree House, Odiham on Sunday, served in the South African and European War in the Queens Royal Regiment, and from 1927 to 1929 he commanded the Durham Light Infantry. From the latter year to 1933 he was A.Q.M.G at the War Office, and then he retired. He acheived the C.M.G. [Companion of St. Michael and St. George]in 1919, the D.S.O. [Distinguished Service Order]in 1917, and the C.B.E. [Commander of the Order of the British Empire]in 1922. Among his honours were the Croix de Guerre and the Order of the Crown of Belgium. Colonel Lee, who was born in 1878 married Rachel daughter of the late Rev. C.H.O. Daniel D.D. Provost of Worcester College, Oxford and had two daughters.
