The stones are about mid-row on the row closest to the street. Stone is very hard to read and is in old German script. I have "floured" it in order to make it readable. I've cleaned these stones with a bio cleaner but it didn't help much.

Samuel is son of Andreas Shadt, immigrant and pioneer of Berks County PA. Samuel married Catherine Derr, daughter of Jost Derr and Anna Maria Hubler, also of Berks Co., and he and Catherine left Berks Co and settled in Turbotville area, Northumberland Co. Ignore the Rev War marker. It was placed by a well meaning descendant I know who thought he had military service. However, Samuel's pension (submitted by his elderly children) was denied for lack of any proof found by the government that he had served. And much to my disappointment, I have never located any such proof either, after years of looking. However, as of Jan 2020, Samuel is a DAR verified patriot with Patriotic Service for signing the Oath of Allegiance and for paying the Supply Tax.

Their stones are in the row closest the street, approximately in the middle of the row. The stones are in German and are very worn and hard to read. Bio cleaner has not helped as I'm told that someone years ago sandblasted them.
