He was son of Clifton Bowen died Monroe County, Ohio. John had a brother named Jeremiah who also lived in Indiana. John married in Monroe County, Ohio to a Eleanor Scott d/o Arthur Scott. He was born in Greene County, PA (was Washington Co.) at Cumberland Twp., Greene County. He had sister Mary Rutter, Rachel Witten, Margaret Ullom (she remained in Pa.) brother Daniel, Isaac who I believed died young). Also had a sister named Sarah, and Nancy I believe. I'm descended from Daniel but am looking for their mothers maiden name and hoping for hints from researching the brothers. I know Jeremiah had a son Clifton who went out to Iowa.
