Halvor Ingvaldson died suddenly at the home of his son Edward in Riceland, Tuesday evening of a stroke of apoplexy. He had attended the county fair and left here for the farm about six p.m. in the evening. After arriving he and his son began milking. Suddenly his son heard his father's milk pail overturn and looked around saw his father on the ground. He was taken to the house and died about midnight.
The funeral will be held this afternoon from the East Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ingvaldson was born in Sign, Norway, about 65 years ago. He came to this country about 1872 and settled on his farm in Riceland. About four years ago he moved to the city to reside,
He had been helping his son on his farm this summer. He was held in high esteem and respect by all who knew him.
He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his death.

Obituary - Old Man Dies Suddenly Albert Lea Standard 23 Sep 1905. Halvor Ingvaldson died suddenly at the home of his son Edward in Riceland Tuesday evening of a stroke of apoplexy. He had attended the county fair and left here for the farm about six o'clock in the evening. After arriving he and his son began milking. Suddenly, his son heard his father's milk pail overturn, and looking around saw his father prostrate on the ground. He was taken to the house and died about midnight. The funeral will be held this afternoon from the East Church in Bancroft. The interment will be in the cemetery by the church. Rev. H.J. Strand will officiate.
