Clarendon House on Clarendon Street, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire in 1894. Edith Jewell was the matron of this Home for Friendless Girls, presumably the west side of the house in 1891.

Edith Jewell, nephew Percy Simmonds and one of Percy’s children probably John or Pat. Edith Jewell was known as Granny Jewell to Percy’s children. She was Percy’s aunt but was more of a mother as she and her mother raised Percy. Shortly after Percy moved to Canada Edith also moved to the family farm and spent the remainder of her life there. Photo would be in the 1920’s
