Notes on Parade House
It seems the present house was constructed after 1777. It was remodeled after 1833 and now included stabling. James Silvanus Fortnatus Brown Bromage bought it in 1847. Sometime after Bickerton Homer Deakin married J. S. F. B. Bromage’s daughter Elizabeth the couple lived in the house (at or before 1891). In 1917, a year after Bickerton Deakin’s death, the home became a Red Cross Hospital. In 1986 it was converted to a retirement home.
It remains a retirement home.
