Gilbert Ivan Mason late of 807 11th Avenue North, Port Alberni, B.C. passed away in the West Coast General Hospital, September 9, 1974 aged 62 years. Mr. Mason had been a resident of the Valley for 28 years. He was employed as a millwright at Alpulp Division, MacMillan Blodel.
Predeceased by one son Derek, in 1960. He is survived by his wife Gladys, three sons, Barry, Bobby and Kenny, all at home, three daughters Mrs. D.(Joan) Parent, Diane, both of Vancouver, and Cathy at home, three grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Grace. Grieve, and Mrs. Bertha Wilson of Fruit Valley, B.C. and Mrs. Winnie Ranson, Sydney, B.C., also one brother of Spokane, Washington. Etc.

Obituary

MASON, Gwladys Christine
Gwladys Mason passed away peacefully on March 12th 2007, at Campbell River Hospital at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband Gilbert, her son Barry and her 2 sisters, Kay and Gwen. Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cathy (Darrell), sons Bob, Ken (Bonnie), sister Connie (Tony), 5 grandchildren, Amy, Brennan, Brad, Bryan, Sara and many nieces and nephews.
Gwlady's biggest pleasure involved spending time with her family and friends. Her beautiful disposition, kind heart and friendly smile will be cherished by all those she touched.
Funeral Services for Gwladys will be held on March 17, 2007 at 11am at the Chapel of Memories in Port Alberni, 4005-6th Avenue N. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Gilbert and her son Barry.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Arnold, the home care and the nurses on 2 north at the hospital and Sutton's. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 401-495 Dunsmuir Street, Nanaimo, BC V9R 6B9, or any charity of your choice.
We will miss you Gwladys.
