In 1340 secretly married Thomas Holland without first gaining royal consent.
In the winter of 1340-41 while Thomas Holland was overseas was forced by her parents to marry William Montacute, son and heir first Earl of Salisbury. Several years later when Thomas Holland returned from the overseas the secret marriage became known. Her second marriage was annulled in 1349 and she returned to Thomas Holland.
After the death of Thomas Holland in 1360 she married Edward the Black Prince
