A newspaper article about his brother Frederick Augustus Homer indicates Charles died as a result of driving horse through a plate glass window and that this was a result of drinking heavily. [I wonder if the loss of his son Charles who died, age 3, from drinking laudanum on his mother’s dressing table.]

Anne Homer petitioned for Divorce on August 19, 1859. In August 1956 she petitioned for seperation. She also petitioned for custody of their living child Elizabeth Anne Homer. It mentioned they had resided at Deacon’s Green near Dudley, at Wordsley in the parish of Kingswinford near Dudley, and High Barns in the Parish of Alveley, Shropshire. She seems to have been granted her petition.
