Sarah's son Edwin Thomas Mosse Tunnicliffe was the one who married Elizabeth Charlton of Speke and appears to have died in the June quarter of 1915 at Watford aged 54. His widow could be the Elizabeth Tunnicliffe who died in Watford in 1930 at the age of 66, I don’t know. Her age and everything tallies; but it raises another mystery. It means she was alive when her mother Elizabeth died in Liverpool in 1918, but a local press report of the funeral fails to list Elizabeth Tunnicliffe among the mourners.It mentions "Mr J E Tunnicliffe" (presumably John, the late Edwin's brother
) and "Lt E C Tunnicliffe, grandson" (Eric Charlton Tunnicliffe, the late Edwin's son). Maybe the reporter missed seeing Elizabeth Tunnicliffe; or maybe she was too ill or otherwise indisposed to make the trip from London.
