William's father kept diaries, one of which Gerard Molyneux found in the Senate House Library. Towards the end of the diary, his son William wrote "On the 3rd May 1636 The Mythe Grounds in the Parish of Tewkesbury (about 16 acres) then cost £134-0-0d. This day 9th October 1799 it is now sold to Thomas Porter esq., for the sum of £1500.0.0d." Prior to that he was renting out the land for £22-10-0d.
So William lived at least until 9 Oct 1799
