Mr. John Richard “Rick” Garmeson, 59, of Dailey Street, died Monday, July 27, 2009, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and former resident of Chatanooga, Tenn., before moving to Brewton in 1964. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service and was a member of the Brewton First Baptist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and he was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Louse Garmeson.
