From Phillip Dangerfield
Lucy Anstruther's father, Edward Dangerfield, (quoted in the 1871 Wales Census on your website page), incidentally, was born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and not Chaltonkam (clearly a mistaken transcribing) where his father, a younger brother of my great great great grandfather was a prominent local businessman. It is, at present, unclear what happened to Lucy's father after about 1893. In press reports he appears to be residing with his wife Mary Jane (nee Anderson) in Ayrshire in about that year, having left Scone, near Perth a few years prior to this, but by the time she passed away, in 1896, she is described in the press notice announcing her death as a widow. I can find no record of her husband's death however.
