[When George Brockett transferred as a musician to the band of the Scots Guards, his first cousin, Henry John Symondson (or Simmonds) was also serving with the band. 5 years after George transferred to the Army Reserve Henry’s brother Alfred, my great grandfather, also transferred into the band. 4 years after that another of Henry’s brothers Herbert joined the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards Band.]
